Heloooooo!!
I know it's been ages since I've updated, there's still our family's umrah trip to talk about but I'll just do a random update here. You see, my brain is kinda fried for the day after three whole days of figuring out the stories behind certain numbers and accounts. It's tedious and frustrating at times because you can't get the whole picture due to some missing pieces.
So, I'm going to spend the rest of the day clearing up, writing the to-do list, and some other menial work.
We've to prepare our house for a small shoot on Sunday, and nothing's been done! Today we plan to vacuum, lay out the carpet, rearrange the sofa (on normal days it's just against the wall for maximum space), dig out whatever little ornaments that can be used for decoration (we don't have that many). It's going to be a long night!
Kuih-wise, I've pretty much settled on my kuih list. Made two batches of kuih tart at my mum's last week (one for her, one for me), two batches of almond London, and my mum gave me some suji and my sister's cheese biscuits. I'm thinking of making chocolate chip cookies, those double choc ones but I'll have to squeeze for time. Got the puteri pinky too! Love those. My dad gave us rempeyek, we have pistachio from Medina, and I'm thinking of putting a whole container of chocolates. Should be sufficient right.
All prepared for Raya! This year no new tudung, reusing a tudung from 4 years and 3 years ago. Oh ya shoes! Didn't think of that. Oops.
This year finally I can go for terawih at the mosque again since I got pregnant. Junior was such a good boy at the mosque. There were times where I met some makcik-makcik who doubted that my boy would sit still, or would keep quiet, but they were proven otherwise and were very impressed haha. I've always believed in bringing children to the mosque. Never mind that they run around and might disturb others, but at least they are comfortable in the mosque. I figured, since Junior could behave himself at Masjidil Haram and Masjid Nabawi, why not for terawih here! It's quite sad to see there's very few kids around, unlike the former mosques. And our elderly should welcome children too. Isn't it a wonderful to see a child trying to pray? Just warms your heart. Of course parents who bring children should also teach their children how to behave, and do all things necessary to make sure they don't disturb others. Initially we bought a child leash to Mecca thinking Junior would be safe with that, but he got very irritated by it. I told him that if he doesn't want to wear the leash, can, but he has to stay very close to me. And he did! We didn't use the leash anymore.
Okay back to work! One and a half hours to go!
