Below are the reasons why buying household stuff with me can get pretty irritating.
One, all I know is this one not nice, that one not nice. Seldom, or never, do I say THIS is nice and I want it.
Two, cos I can't make up my mind. See reason one. If it's something I'm not like, really attracted to, then the bo chap attitude kicks in.
Three, I don't know the market prices, hence I wouldn't know if it's the best deal or not. I've never taken an interest in the cost of things my parents bought for the house, hence the lack of general knowledge. Ask me the price of cars, I'd be better with that. So when I'm in my bo chap mode plus I am not sure if it's the best deal, I don't feel obliged to buy if the design doesn't attract me at all. If it's darn cheap and the design is so-so, I might not mind.
Four, all I have ever known is I want a chinese themed house. That has been my wish since years ago. Baba also can. Baba even better. Haha. Either that, or a retro house. Good ol' stuff! Hahahaha. Ask me about other designs? Err hmm I need to think about it. No no I will not ignore, but I will really have to think if I want it or not.
Five, I might have gotten too used to shopping alone that when someone is with me doing the surveying of possible shops, it seems like a waste of time for this other person. I always go in rounds. I can go to one shop, go to another, come back to the first one, even the second, can even come back AGAIN to the first shop and end up not buying from either one. This is, of course, based on the assumption of two shops. Imagine when five or more places offer similar items. HAHA. I'm okay when I do it alone, though. Cos I don't disturb anyone's schedule or time.
So if you need a shopping kaki for household items, bring me if you want opinions but not someone who pushes you to buy that particular item. Haha! To the person who will be stuck with me for the rest of his life with this fickle and undecided household shopper, I love you :) THANK YOU for putting up with my nonsense.
