Lambo Comes to Town

Hello hello~!! Today, the ever kaypoh BBC will tell about this girl in the neighbourhood who has a Lamborghini boyfriend! How often does that happen!! Lambo, you say? Yes, you heard read correctly, it's a freaking yellow lambo!!! He's been here for a few weeks already. Usually comes twice a week, weekends and/or Wednesday. Must be go clubbing and dinner lah. Hahahah!

I tell you, that car is pure noise pollution! You'll know when he's coming, and from which direction.

So who's behind the wheel? And who's the lucky girl?

From where I am, which is across the field, I couldn't really see properly. And I don't have binoculars too. Tsk tsk. What kind of spy am I!! Lousy hor. But but. I used my camera to take super ultra zoomed in foto, and this is what I got. Haha!

He looks old, doesn't he? Just a hunch. And probably the colour of his hair. Or maybe he dyed his hair grey. But as I said, can't really see. But definitely not those young punks who took daddy's money to get such a sweet ride. On further analysis (macam betul ajer/like real), we can see that he tries to dress trendily with adidas sneakers and all, but still looks a bit ah beng-ish. And from what I can see from his body language, he's pretty impatient. Tapping his feet while waiting, walk here and there, always on the phone. And probably he doesn't love cars like I do. HAHAHHA. You see har, if I were to be owning that kind of car, I'll be admiring it while waiting for the person to come. It's only natural! But here, I deduce that the car's probably just a babe magnet. Or he has too much spare cash.

So he must have gotten himself one hell of a babe, rite? Hell no!

See the foto above? Okay lah my fotography skills sucks but you can catch a glimpse of the girl, and what was she wearing? T-shirt, shorts, a bag which soooo looks like a school bag by Zinc or something, and nothing stunning about the way she walks either. Maybe they weren't going to some fancy restaurant. Maybe.

These were Friday pictures, by the way.

Then we waited for the gf who takes bloody long I tell you. Like yesterday, he waited a whole 30 minutes!! The longest ever. It's like she wasn't even dressed when he arrived! I really don't understand how some girls can make the guy wait while the get ready. Have some courtesy. If the guy says I'll pick you up at 7, shouldn't you be ready by then? Why must you still dilly dally taking your own sweet time doing your make-up, or worse - choosing what clothes to wear when you know the guy will already be waiting for you downstairs? Nobody likes to wait lah.

Anyway, we'll see how long this Lambo will be coming to this quaint little town in the outskirts of Yishun. Hahahahahha

Bubur Asyura

Finally made this! Have been wanting to do so cos this porridge has loads of nuts. Not exactly a healthy porridge though since there's coconut milk. I already have most of the ingredients and had the time, so why not! I realise there's different types of bubur Asyura but I settled for the one closest to us, the Johor version . There's a lottt of ingredients, so I'll list in order of which goes into the pot first. I also boiled the mutton a day earlier so I can collect and throw away the fat from the stock. Bubur Asyura Saute: 1 stalk lemongrass 1 cinnamon stick 1 star anise 3 cardamoms 5 cloves 2 big onions, sliced 1 inch ginger, sliced 3 garlic, sliced 10 cups water (half is mutton stock, half water) 1 cup rice, washed 300g mutton, already cooked and shredded 1 tbsp soto powder 1/3 cup dhal, soaked in water for 10 min 1/3 cup peanuts, washed 1 1/2 carrots, diced 1 can chickpeas, washed 1 can kacang pool, washed 1/2 can sweet corn, washed 1 small box coconut milk Heat o...

Daiso Ramekins

Finally finally went to Daiso!! Wanted to go there for ages already! The first thing I came in, went to the cooking section. Found my ramekins! But they're not white. Oh wells. Can't be choosy for $2 ramekins! There were white ones, but super small white ramekins. And pie tarts too! Oooh so tempting! But I don't know when I'll make tarts hurhur. Actually I'm still thinking what I should bake using these ramekins. I remember having one of those "I wish I had ramekins right now" moments but I can't remember when. Maybe when I was making lava cake . Daiso is evil. It's so cheap you just feel like coming back again! Oh and did I mention there's a $2 weighing scale?! Measures up to a kilo but that's quite alright for baking isn't it! I mean, $2!! Dirt cheap lah. Not sure about the accuracy though. Didn't do much cleaning last weekend, very much spent lazing around at home just like what weekends should be like. I love being at ho...

Brown Butter Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

This is so yummy! Also a good cookie, as the name suggests, the best chewy brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Also nailed the baking timing cos the cookie doesn't harden upon cooling. This shall be the go-to for chewy chocolate chip cookies from now on. 140g butter 215g all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon baking soda ¼ teaspoon salt 145g packed light brown sugar 65g granulated sugar 5ml vanilla essence 1 large egg at room temperature 15ml milk Semisweet chocolate chips Brown the butter. Once it bubbles and milk solids form, take note not to wait too long. Once it browns slightly, take it off the heat. Too long and the butter will burn. I weighed the dough (without chocolate chips) at 40g each, and then added choc chips. Bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 9 minutes.
