Wake Up and Smell the Cake

Yay! Great news! * It* has been despatched! :))) Can't wait! :) I love technology :) This morning's Urban featured the comeback of the bamboo handle classic Gucci. But I like the vintage one the best! Seems like they're not selling it :( I've never been a fan of Gucci but isn't this pretty!!! Sigh. If there were a replica of it, using leather of course, I don't mind getting it! Brandless, even better! Hahaha. I'm in my shopping mood now. Dangerous. And online shopping with cheap shipping to UK is VERY tempting muahahaha :p

Yes. It's only the first day. No chocolates or cookies. It was bearable in office, but when I got home and opened the fridge, it feels automatic to stretch out my hand and grab those cookies! I looked away, and chocolates caught my eye. Argh! The horror! I have resisted temptation and I shall continue to. I can't wait for Tuesday's dinner date with FFL! I am freaking hungry. My sister says I can eat cookies in 10 minutes' time when the clock strikes midnight. Haha! That is true eh. Technically the day IS over. Hmmmmm.... VERY tempting! :D

I am damn terrible. I ate breakfast at 7.30am and at almost 9 I am hungry. Trying to cut down on snacks too. So far my attempt to start cold turkey on chocolates and cookies has failed. I shall start today then. Loads of chocolates and cookies at home! VERY tempting. But. I have to keep my weight in check. Fats are showing at my face! Chubby chubby me :( I smell french fries. Grrrrr. Now I wanna eat french fries :( Small meals and fruits only from now on.

I am sleeeeepy. London time is 2am now. I should be sleeping but I'm not! Sian. I foresee a long jet lag he he he. I've just got for myself the best seat! It's those long reclining chairs that's always taken, plus ! I'm beside the notebook charger! And! Near my gate! Woohoo! I don't want to move!!! I don't care I'm sitting here until, hmm, gate closing! HAHAHAHA. Like real. Reminder to self: pee before boarding. Oh but then again, I'll have an aisle seat later! Whee~ I haven't blogged anything about London eh this time? And Andalucia too! Too much, you see. I didn't even keep a travel journal. But to sum it up, I feel like I just had the best four weeks of my life :) Very cliche, but isn't it so wonderful when it's true? Life with Other Half just keeps getting better. First entry of 2010! Should I do the rather mandatory reflections of 2009? On the top of my head, I can't remember much of 2009 except that I got married. Either nothing much happened, or I really have goldfish memory. Hahaha. Or too much happened and I don't want to remember them. Oh yeah! We bought out house :) But that comes with the wedding of course. Still thinking what we should do with the flat. Haha! Slowly lah hor. Marriage :) To the sweetest and most caring and loving man that I can never ever comprehend why I deserve such a gem. Let me count... Almost five months already! Isn't that fast! We're still honeymooning, aren't we darling? Hehe. Just came back from a lovely trip to Andalucia! Great start to the new year eh. 2010 will be, hmm, how shall I put it, unpredictable? Bored me was going through fotos on the fb. And I came across this particular one, brought back memories :) Macaaam lah lama sangat but it's less than two years. Haha! This is nostalgic :) I miss this. The closeness! And easy accessibility ;) How I'd look to see if you're there or not. The passing-passing :p I really miss this place, or rather, the setting.

My brother was a medic in his NS days. But medic my foot lah... Singaporean army medics, what to do... NS boys mah. Take the case of my bleeding thumb. He was the first to come home after I cut myself, so I told him about it. And him being a medic, I'd expect that he'll be able to do the wound dressing. Such high hopes I have of him. Sigh. He cringed when I told him how I got it. He disappeared when I changed the wound dressing. Both times! And can say, "I cannot see or hear about wounds, I'll imagine them on myself. We all medics in NS don't deal with wounds what... Injections, we do." Injections! Drug addicts are EXPERTS at injections! Don't need to be a medic for that! I think I shall make him see my cut when I change dressing tonight! *evil laughter* Hahahahahaha :p

Basket. Plan interrupted. I stupidly cut my right thumb by slicing it over freshly cut tin. How am I supposed to mix the batter and mould the tarts. Bloody blood won't stop bleeding. It's been twenty minutes now. Luckily the blood didn't drip into the butter or mixing bowl. Please hurry and stop the bleeding :'(

Housework Sunday! Helped my mum cook three batches of bee hoon goreng for my sister's event, did all the cleaning up after cooking (I love to clean up!), going to fold clothes and make pineapple tarts after that. Yup pineapple tarts for my tart :) Was supposed to make it next weekend so it'll last longer, but seems like both days I'll be out, and I don't think I'll be able to complete them in the morning. Just have to really keep them for Other Half and make sure I , the cookie monster, don't eat them excessively myself! Haha! Am currently caught by the reading bug! Into fiction lately. Which is a little weird, cos I usually am interested in non-fiction. Just completed one book, after many weeks haha, and I started on an ebook yesterday! Ebooks aren't as good obviously. For saving on the cost of the book, you get mistakes everywhere, language and grammar have been discounted. But for this particular book, I'm more interested in the content, so I guess it

The countdown has gone down to just FOURTEEN days! Two weeks :) Very very happy! :) There's just so many things I wanna do with you. And I've started a little list of what to cook in London :) Only six items so far. Haha! Curry and masak sambal not included okay. Looking forward to Winter Wonderland too even though I can't skate. Hehe.

Attending other people's nikah reminds me of my own :) Sadly, the past two solemnisations I attended, Other Half couldn't be present. It would be sooo much more meaningful if he were here. Yesterday's solemnisation was touching. Firstly, our dearest colleagues got married! Budak Taufiq tu dah kawen! Hehe! I am so happy for them :) Secondly, the bride cried. You can just go "awwww!!". I thought I'd cry during my solemnisation, but I didn't. Of course I was a bit blur, I don't really know what's going on, even the mak andam and my friends noticed. I was in my happy, tune humming mood as I walked to the dais for the ceremony. It was such a joyous occasion for me (joyous much more than solemn), you can say that I was almost drunk-merry! Heh :p And partially the fact that Other Half and I didn't see each other for the few days before that made the day more exciting :) It's been over three months now. I was walking towards my room, my dad was sleeping on the couch. My brother was outside my room, and I said to him, "ice creeeaaamm". Then, not my brother, but my dad responded. "Ice cream???" Hahahah!! Wahlau eh! We thought he's sleeping! Hahahaha! Apparently he really was sleeping, but dunoe how come he heard ice cream all of a sudden. Haha. Weird.

I wanna make cookies. Cos I want to eat them. Haha. There's still M&Ms and chocolate chips in the fridge, just waaaaiiting to be baked! The countdown's getting smaller and smaller :) I am going to meet my sweetheart soon! Yipee!! We'll let the next 29 days fly by very very quickly k?

Our M&M cookies are sedap! HAHAHHA! Okay okay I might be biased. I thought of an amazing gift Other Half can get me! But then my bday or anniversary isn't any time soon. Anniversary. Imagine that :) I have a wedding anniversary now! Coolness.

Today is stay at home day! Can't remember the last time I lepaked at home the whole day. I can't even remember what I did last weekend! Haha. (Now I remember! It was a wedding weekend!) Brother and I were left alone at home, and we're bored. I'm just bored. He's bored of studying. So! We tried baking big cookies! Hehe. Mother always baked small cookies, cos it's easy to keep. But we want big ones! With M&Ms! Took surprisingly quick to get these babies baked. Some fotos! :) The batter. Mixed by Brother. All baked! :) Chocolate chip melted in the cookie!

MIL talking to some relative. "Ohh tu la menantu kita!", as she points to me. Me, caught offguard, was yawning as they turned to look at me. Hahaha! So buruk.

Argh damnit! Why! Why must he DIE!!! Haha. I'm reading this book about a few women and their lives. There's this one old couple whose been married for ages, but are still as romantic and in love as ever, but lately the husband was acting a little weird. Common suspicion would be an affair, but me being the impatient reader, I flipped to the back to see a glimpse of what the ending will be like, and the husband in this pair died. But! I didn't know he'd die in Chapter 6! That's too soon! I hate sad stories :( I love to read about couples, no matter how long they've been married, they're still having a healthy loving relationship, but don't kill the mood with death! Sian. Oh well. I hope the other stories are happy endings. But seems unlikely. I shall go find myself fairy tales instead. I love happily ever afters. Sad stories should be banned!
