Wake Up and Smell the Cake

Dear God, Please protect these wonderful, kind souls who so often give free food to me and little one :) There's always food to eat! May they never be short of rezeki, may they be blessed by You always, and have the very best of happiness, health and contentment in their lives. Amin!

Was clearing my Pictures folder, and I came across this, which has so much meaning for us now ♥ :) And I love you very much, my dear husband :)

I miss Other Half :( Today we won't see each other the whole day until maybe at 10-ish. That's long. Very very extra long. Sigh. Extremely sleepy today. Lack of sleep, and sleep these days are always filled with action-packed multi-storyline vivid dreams. Tiring lah! Was supposed to sleep early but this and that happened and so we slept late. I love my sleep. Speaking of which, I need pillows. After many years I've still yet to find a proper sleeping position with the best possible pillows. FFL IS BACK!!! YAY!! Initially I wanted to mogok and refuse talking to her, but when I saw that she was online, I couldn't resist. Haha. Lame, I know. We're going to have a triple date soon with the other FFLs! Yay! Actually, we haven't had a triple date before! Maybe I shall volunteer to make something :)

FFL must be having one heck of a time because I haven't heard from her since! Tsk tsk. I hope those two newly weds are having the best times of their lives! :) Hmm. Makes me wanna go for yet another honeymoon too. Hahahahaha. Sunday was hectic. Saturday we were in JB to help out with Cousin's wedding, and the next morning we came back to SG for two couples' solemnisation before rushing back for Cousin's wedding. I was in unglamorous flats because heels would kill my feet with so much running around. I don't really like wearing flats, makes me feel so short and bare and lazy. I love solemnisations! Especially if it's the solemnisation of a cute couple. And I always feel like pengantin baru too even though it's been more than a year! Haha! 

Whirlwind of weddings this weekend! Tomorrow we're off to JB to rewang for cousin's wedding on Sunday, and there's two other weddings on that day too. FFL's getting married yay!!! Very happy for her :) And another is a good colleague of mine, actually the guy is my colleague too haha. Very sweet couple! Mad rush from one solemnisation to another, and then to JB! I hope it won't be as tiring as last Wednesday's solemnisation. FFL, I'll write a special post for you soon! Haha. Hope you wedding runs smoothly and all goes well! I have a cut on my finger and a 2-inch long greenish bruise on my wrist but I can't remember incurring those injuries. I can't remember hitting myself especially! Either I have goldfish memory, or my nervous system is a little haywire. Sometimes I have cuts I have no idea where I got it until it stings when coming into contact with water. I know people may puke reading this, but I miss Other Half even though it's only been half a work day. Can't wait for the day to be over! Teeheehee. Life has been very good AWESOME with him :) Having a car during lunch is so convenient. Now that I don't have a hold of the car unlike the past year, I'm feeling a little handicapped. Lunch time shopping escapes drastically reduced. Sigh. I really wanna go get me some sling bags from FEP! As of yesterday both pairs of FFLs now have their own flats! Yippee! We can take turns to go each others' houses and cook! And become like these ladies: It'll be fun! :) I wanna

Let's see what I've been up to. NOT cooking because I have mother dearest doing that already. Haha! And besides, my cooking is not up to her standard. I WATCHED TWILIGHT. Not on purpose, though. The many many cable channels didn't have anything interesting this morning. And I was waiting to watch my ultimate fave cartoon. Speaking of which!! I am so disappointed to know that it runs only for 15 minutes!! Cartoons, especially good ones like this, should run for a full 30 minutes! Anyway. Back to Twilight. Not bad lah the movie. It's not like a chick flick or what. I like Edward's parents. Such sweet people. And they are 'vegetarians'. Cool! Self restraint. Even vampires have self restraint. I threw away some old clothes! Mainly because my mum is running out of hangers. Hahahaha. Freed up nine, I think maybe can afford to free up more. But then again, I'll be quickly using them again to put new clothes. Wahahaha. I feel blessed. Actually blessed is arguable. But I shall not argue with the fact that I'm lucky. Here's counting my lucky stars: I am married. Something I thought was just a dream cos of the lack of potential guys I'd meet in my industry. Who would've thought I'd be married to the most wonderful husband in the world, who loves me much more than I love myself. I have truly struck gold to have his heart ;) We own our little flat for over a year now :) We're lucky to get it at a time where prices were just about to rise, so our housing loan is kinda low unlike prices now. I can even afford not to work! Haha! I LOVE my parents. The most understanding, frank, and practical parents. There's nothing more I could ask from them. I have a stable job. With bosses that care. Can't thank them enough for offering me the telecommuting arrangement! I've never been really that stressed about school. Work, maybe. Generally I lead a stress-free life. Hence the

Every night I refuse to sleep, for it's like time wasted. Time I can spend talking to you. But then I am not working London hours unlike a friend in banking. If only there's no such thing as a time zone. Haha. And weddings! I'm getting sick of attending weddings alone. When I'm not supposed to be alone. I love attending dear friends' weddings. But it's kinda incomplete for me cos I get reminded of my own wedding, and when I want to reminsce, the most important person isn't beside me. Weddings, especially solemnisations are happy and special moments I want to share with The Husband. I hope the next wedding I can come as a couple. I can't wait for The Husband to come home. Anyway!! Today is Ad's wedding. Love it :) Finally he got married! Truly very happy for him :) The adhoc family grows! Hehe. And now it's five and a half years and counting... Time flies! :) Hope we can all stay one whole big family for many more years to come!

I'm back in Singapore. Flight was okay, I was seated in between two men who luckily are thin. Food was from an Indian company. The dessert for dinner was AWESOME. Something called Pista Kheer. It was delicious! At first I was jealous cos the non-halal food got Strawberry Truffle. But the Kheer was delicious! And something new! Breakfast was bleargh though. Singapore is more humid than London. My face was super red when I got out of the airport. Didn't help that the plane wasn't cold at all. Met family :) Nice to see them again after so long, though it didn't feel long. I miss Other Half :( I miss disturbing him. And seeing him smile. And hearing his laugh. I miss everything I do with him. Which is practically everything :D I shall not cry. He's coming back soon :)

Very good holiday :) Feels kinda weird to be back at home after a week of walking around a lot. And when I walk a lot and get thirsty, there's no appetite to eat. Now I feel fat and lazy. The kitchen is just a stretch away! Munch munch. I have a stupid headache. Sian. I think it's the result of staring so intently (and frowning too) at the laptop watching two episodes of CSI back to back. I think I need the green pastures, large homely German country-side houses and fat brown & white cows back. I love the view. And good for the eyes too. Anyway! I wanted to say I is touched! Haha :) One, dearest Shez sent me 2 long smses asking me if I'm okay cos I haven't messaged her for a couple of days. So sweet! I thought it was my mum messaging me, so I went back to sleep thinking I'll reply later. Two! Juni misses me while I was away from Internet. Haha. And an all-time sweetie, Other Half. He was so sweet to have offered to help out with housework yesterday :) He

It's 6pm Monday and we have not packed! Haha. Facebook is flooded with fotos from the AAM camp last weekend. Sian. I wish I could've attended! Would've been so much fun and also get to know the kids. I especially like dragon boating. I remember last year's camp. I got darker because of it, with a wedding in like two months! Haha! Luckily the tan wasn't that bad :D The weather seems to be getting hot again. More bright sun and pollen. I hate pollen. Most of it dandelions I guess. We're both much better now, and trying to avoid being sick again. Hopefully the change in weather won't get us sick. For the third time. Today's my mummy's birthday. And only today, with the help of FFL, I realised that I could've bought for her shoes via Charles & Keith online and send it to her doorstep! Why didn't I think of it earlier! But never mind. I browsed, purchased, and hopefully it reaches my mum soon! My blog is boring. I don't blog that o

I need to cut my hair. At least my fringe. I want to have annoying fringe that doesn't seem to stay behind the ear again hahahaha. Maybe I shall do a DIY haircut (including the back) like back in the JC days. I shall go buy scissors! :) My mum is getting sick way too often :( I do hope it's because of the weather and nothing else. But still, it's worrying :( I don't recall her having a low immune system. I love my mummy very very much dear God please take of her k. I am getting fatter. Damn. I am seriously considering that expensive programme my sister is selling. It is effective, might as well right. His exams will be over in two days! Yipee!! :) More time for me! Hahaha. Yesterday's lemak cili padi was a disaster. I never seem to get this right. This time, the coconut milk was tengik. Spoil only. Threw away the gravy, and used the instant mix instead. Kinda running out of ideas of what to cook. Haha! I am thankful to have wonderful SIL & BIL. Thankful for so many things. And my entertainment for the past two days. Haha! And most of all, they look cute together :) Love you both!

Alrighty!! I'm gonna be matron of honour TWICE this year! Yeah! I is very very touched! And excited! Weee!!! So that's three times being bridesmaid!! :) Can't wait! :) Yup it's matron and not maid. Because maid of honour only applies to unmarried bridesmaids. But matron soooo OLD. Like Madam. Oh well. Matron of honour reporting for duty duties!

I went for Fang's baby shower today :) Catching up time! I've known these guys for 4 years, some 5 years. But seems like only yesterday we were in university. It's good we're still together :) Suddenly this year, two of us are married, one with a daughter. We're aunties oredi! Officially aunties! It's amazing how time flies.

Aiya not that I haven't been all perky and energetic lately. Don't ask me why. But that's what's coming. What went on for the past few days? Weekend was a wedding! When he was a baby, he looks like me and my sister! Now he looks different, but aiyoyoooo he's soooo chubby! Chubby cheeks, chubby arms, everything chubby! He's an obedient boy too! Yup! My first ride on a bike on 7 May 2009! Whee~~ It was impromptu! I needed to tompang someone to the place we were going to play captain's ball. So I tompang-ed my fren! Not a big bike la, sth like scooter? Haha I dunoe. But I know it was fun!! Even though the distance was short, it was pretty cool! Hahaha.. Especially the selit part! Goodness! Scary can! Hahaha. I don't mind having another ride!! :))) A Brad Pitt invited me to his wedding on the 24th! Woohoo! Fun fun! :))) All you budak-budak Nanyang Tech MS who's reading this (I dunoe who else reads this blog anymore) do tell me if they've been invited! :) I'm bored. I think I shall go to the library tomorrow. Eh wait, tomorrow's a public holiday! Ah darn. I know! Maybe I shall go to some temple and watch Vesak Day celebrations hahaha. Goodness. I just watched the Funeral advert again on TV, and I teared. AGAIN . It just hits your heart so deeply every single time! In the end, it's these small things that you remember, the little imperfections, that make them perfect, for you . So to my beautiful children, I hope one day you too will find yourselves life partners who are as beautifully imperfect as your father was to me. And you are the perfect beautifully imperfect one for me :)

Wah sehhhh Tired. Fang's married! My first chinese wedding! Better still, I was one of the jie mei! Fun hor! :) Yesterday was Fang's wedding dinner, this morning was the tea ceremony. Tired lorrr. I'll write a longer post on her wedding, when I'm less tired. Haha. Left earlier cos I've another wedding later! *faints* Hopefully I won't be left alone or something.
